The Dream of the Intruder: A Spiritual Battle and a Revelation of Strength

I was in my house, alone. After stepping out of the bathroom and turning off the light, I noticed something unsettling: my bedroom door was half open, and so was the main door. Curious and uneasy, I called out, “Who’s there?”

Suddenly, a strange figure darted out of my bedroom, trying to flee. I could not see his face clearly because of the darkness, but his body looked slim, almost stick-like, with a sharp animal-like outline, somewhat resembling a goat.

Driven by the urge to know who he was, I caught hold of him with both hands. That is when I realized something shocking—his left hand was abnormally thin, almost deformed, revealing weakness. Yet when he grabbed my hand with his right, I felt a sudden force—strong enough to resist me.

At that moment, I understood this was no ordinary figure. His intention was only to run away without showing his true face, while my intention was to unmask him.

The Struggle

As I felt his force, I tried to call out the name of Jesus. But no matter how hard I tried, my voice would not come out. It was as if something pressed against my throat, blocking me from speaking.

Then, suddenly, he released my hand and attempted to escape. In that moment, my voice broke free, but all that came out was a cry: “Aiii!”

Still, that cry was enough. He fled.

The Meaning

Reflecting on this dream, I realized it was more than a passing nightmare—it was a glimpse into a spiritual battle.

  • The intruder’s weak left hand revealed his true nature—powerless and deformed at the core.

  • His strong right hand showed the illusion of power—he could resist for a moment, but not overcome.

  • His desire to flee without showing his face meant that darkness cannot survive exposure—it only thrives in secrecy.

  • My blocked voice revealed the enemy’s attempt to silence prayer and stop me from calling on Jesus.

  • The release and my cry showed that even when words fail, the heart’s cry reaches heaven. The intention to call on Jesus carried power, and the enemy had no choice but to run.

The Spiritual Lesson

This dream taught me:

  1. Darkness is weaker than it appears. Even when it resists, its strength is temporary.

  2. My spirit carries authority. Even without shouting the full name of Jesus, my heart’s cry held divine power.

  3. Discernment is a gift. My instinct was not to hide but to expose, and in doing so, I saw the true nature of what I faced.

  4. Victory is assured. The intruder fled first—I did not release him; he let go of me.

Takeaway

This was not a dream of fear but of revelation. It reminded me that even in unseen battles, the light within me is greater than the darkness outside. The struggle was real, but the outcome was clear: darkness has no place where God’s authority dwells.

Sometimes, even a faint cry from the heart is enough to send the enemy fleeing.

Isaiah 13:4 reminds us:
“Listen, a noise on the mountains, like that of a great multitude! Listen, an uproar among the kingdoms, like nations massing together! The Lord Almighty is mustering an army for war.”

In my dream, I realized—I am not alone in the battle. God Himself equips and strengthens me, and in His authority, I already stand victorious.

Let me be the pen. Lord, you be the writer!
