A Soul’s Visit: My Conversation with a Departed Friend
Yesterday evening, while I was on the terrace, I had a profound encounter with a soul I once knew in earthly life — someone who had left this world by suicide. The meeting felt natural, yet deeply moving, and our conversation unfolded with clarity and calmness.
The Meeting
He greeted me in a familiar way, asking, “How are you?” — though unlike in life, he did not call me by name. I replied, “I am good.” He answered, “You will be good.” His words carried a certainty that reassured me. When I asked about his well-being, he said, “I am good.”
To confirm his identity, I asked, “Are you Vicky?” He replied, “I am still in that state.” His answer suggested that he has not yet moved beyond the condition linked to his passing — a state of transition or pause, where the soul remains connected to the circumstances of its departure until the journey forward is permitted. This also reflects a deeper truth: in the soul’s realm, earthly names and identities lose their hold. By saying this, he was gently showing that while he is the one I knew, he now exists in a different condition — no longer fully "Vicky" as on earth, but not yet completely free into the next stage of his soul’s journey.
His Message for His Family
When I asked why he had come, he told me: “Inform my wife to be happy and my children to be bold.”
I questioned him: “How can you expect her to be happy without you?”
He replied, “On earth, at least, you have the option to be happy whatever the situation may be. So tell her to choose happiness.” His words revealed a wisdom that perhaps only a soul can see after leaving the physical body.
The Nature of His Realm
I asked if he was happy where he is now. He explained that in that place, there is no concept of happiness or sadness. The dualities we know on earth — day and night, good and bad, joy and sorrow — do not exist there. It is a state of being, without emotional divisions.
When I asked how he was able to meet me, he said, “I received permission from my higher authority.” I asked if that was God, and he replied, “No.” This hinted at guides or beings who oversee such connections.
He also mentioned that there are others like him where he is, but they do not interact. “All know the way to pass, and no one is willing to talk to each other here — rather, we can’t.” It seemed to be a place of solitude, where souls reflect silently.
Nourishment Beyond Earth
Curious, I asked about food. He said they receive something like honey, about half a spoon, but only once every 7–8 days. Yet they do not feel hunger or thirst. This “essence” seems to be enough for the subtle body.
Souls in Progression
I asked about my uncle, who passed away 30 years ago. He told me that souls like my uncle are in another place, ahead of him, and that he is in the process of moving toward that level. This confirmed that souls progress through realms according to their path and readiness.
What I Understood
From this encounter, I realized that:
Earth is the only realm where we experience opposites — joy and sorrow, light and darkness, good and bad.
In other realms, there is no such duality; souls simply exist in awareness and process.
Those who pass by their own choice seem to remain in a reflective state until their actual time is complete.
Even from beyond, souls still care for their loved ones and wish them strength and peace.
Closing Reflection
This conversation reminded me that earthly life, with all its ups and downs, is precious because it offers the unique gift of choice. We can choose how to respond, how to love, and how to be. My friend’s message to his family — to be happy and to be bold — is not only for them but perhaps for all of us who are still walking this earthly journey.
Let me be the pen. Lord, you be the writer!
