I Saw Her in the Dark... and I Spoke in Light
In Feb, 2025 I think! There are some dreams that feel like memories — they don’t fade, they live inside you. One night, a long time ago, I had such a dream.
But it wasn’t just a dream.
I was sleeping next to my husband and children. A quiet, safe night. I was in deep sleep when I felt a presence — strong, close, watching.
I opened my eyes and saw her.
A woman, bent low, staring directly at me. Her face was burnt — like embers still glowing, neither living nor dead. Her silence was heavy. She didn’t speak. She just looked at me.
⚔️ My First Instinct: Power, Not Fear
Without thinking, I looked right into her and said out loud:
"Hey, who are you?"
She didn’t reply.
She ran out the entry door. Vanished.
No fight. No confrontation. No trace.
In that moment, I didn’t feel afraid. I felt... awake. I knew I had seen something real.
And I knew it wasn’t from God.
So I did what I always do when I sense something isn't right in my space:
I made the sign of the Cross and declared with full peace and confidence:
"The blood of Jesus is victory. If you are not from God, leave now. You have no place here."
And like every time before, peace returned. I slept deeply again, untouched.
⏳ Months Later: A Shift in My Heart
For months, I believed it was a negative energy or a spirit I was meant to reject. And maybe at that moment, it was. It came into my space without light, without clarity, without permission.
But recently — over the past 4 to 6 months — something in me has shifted.
Now, when I think of her, I wonder...
“What if she came for help?”
Her burnt face. Her silence. Her hesitation.
What if it wasn’t to scare... but because she didn’t know how to ask?
What if she ran not because I confronted her
But because I saw her too clearly?
π« Maybe She Was a Soul in Pain
Perhaps she carried shame, trauma, or regret.
Maybe the burn on her face wasn’t just a symbol of pain, but of how she sees herself beyond saving.
My question “Who are you?” was full of light. But maybe she wasn’t ready for light. Maybe she wasn't ready to be seen.
Some spirits run not because they’re dark
But because they believe they are unworthy of light.
And when they meet someone who can see them, they flee — afraid of healing, afraid of love, afraid of being known.
π― Today, I Send Her Peace 30-06-2025 1:15
I still don’t know who she was. I don’t know if she’ll ever return in a dream. But I know one thing:
If she came for help, I am ready to send light, not fear.
So I whisper this softly now.
“If the soul I saw is lost,
and carries pain I cannot see —
I send you light and peace, in the name of Jesus.
May you find your way.
May you find your rest.
And may you no longer carry fear in my direction. Amen.”
✝️ Light Doesn’t Always Burn, Sometimes It Heals
Whether she came in shadow or sorrow,
Whether she meant fear or was frozen by it
I now choose to see her with compassion.
I stood strong in that moment. I still will.
But now, I stand not only as a guardian of light
I stand as someone willing to extend it, even to the lost.
Let me be the pen. Lord, you be the writer!
Mercy
